Raymond Gloeckler (1928 - )
Born in Portage, Wisconsin, Raymond Gloeckler received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin. From 1961 to 1993, he was professor of art at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His satirical, iconoclastic wood engravings have been exhibited at galleries, museums, and universities across the United States and in Europe. His work is found in numerous public and private collections.

Wood engraving, 1985, edition of 200. Printed at The Hampshire Typothetae for the portfolio Face To Face, a gathering of self-portraits by leading contemporary wood engravers. The portfolio included a set of extra prints on 80 lb. Mohawk Superfine soft white text signed by the artist. This is from the suite of extra prints, signed by Gloeckler in pencil at lower RH corner. Image size 6" x 8", sheet size 10-3/4” x 14-3/4”. Fine.
