John T. "Jet" Lowe (1947 - )
Fine arts photographer, since 1970 the Baltimore-based Jet Lowe has traveled the world capturing architectural and engineering landmarks. For thirty-five of those years, Lowe was the engineering photographer for the Historic American Engineering Record division of the National Park Service, and held administrative roles there as well. Some forty thousand of his images are held by the Prints and Photographs division of the Library of Congress. Lowe has also undertaken freelance work for many publications and institutions. He holds several advanced degrees in photography and is a frequent lecturer on the subject.
