Margaret Drury Kemp-Welch (1874 - 1968)
Draftsman, painter, water colorist and etcher Margret Drury Kemp-Welch was born in Brighton, England. She studied at Hubert von Herkomer's school in Bushey, Hertfordshire and subsequently taught at Clapham High School. She exhibited her work at several venues including the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Painters-Etchers. During her career, she lived in London and later in Devon, where she died.

Etching, ca. 1920; edition not stated. Image size 11-7/8” x 10”; overall size 16” x 11-3/4”. Signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin. Cleaned and de-acidified in 2014 and mounted and matted using archival-quality materials. There are two unobtrusive areas of discoloration in the foreground of the image, otherwise in very good condition.
