Martin Levine (1945 - )
Printmaker and teacher Martin Levine was born in New York City. His etchings and lithographs are characterized by their meticulous realism, and are principally architectural in character. His work has been exhibited in many juried exhibitions here and abroad, and is held in many private and institutional collections, including the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Levine has taught at the State University of New York at Stony Brook since 1986, and is the recipient of many awards, including the Society of American Graphic Artists National Print Exhibition; National Academy of Design Annual Exhibition; Bienal de Ibiza Grafic Internacional Exhibition, Spain; and the Library of Congress National Exhibition of Prints.
