Printmaker and teacher Johannes Wohlfart was born in Vienna and studied at the Vienna Academy, where he later taught. He is primarily identified as a minor figure in the German Expressionist school. His work is held by numerous Austrian and German institutions. Wohlfart died at Vienna.
