Dominique Lecomte (1959 - )
A native of Rambervillers, a small French town in Les Vosges, Dominique Lecomte is an accomplished printmaker and photographer who studied visual art at Ecole de l’Image in nearby Epinal, where he first exhibited works in various media. Lecomte emigrated to the United States in 1994 to teach philosophy at the International School of Boston but subsequently devoted himself to art, specializing in linocuts and woodcuts using subjects photographed in his travels, later incorporating photography itself as a medium of artistic expression. His work is held in numerous private and public collections throughout the world.

Etching in three panels, 1985; edition of 30 stated, but the artist advises that the number actually printed by him is considerably less. Aggregate image size 15½” x 6½”; overall sheet size 19-3/8” x 10-5/8”. Numbered 5/30, titled, and signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin. Fine overall condition, save for minor wrinkling at left edge of sheet well away from image area.
