Frederick Robbins (1893 - 1974)
Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Frederick Robbins was a portrait painter, etcher, lecturer, teacher and writer. He studied at the California School of Fine Arts (now the San Francisco Art Institute), and with a number of leading California artists. During the 1920s, Robbins worked in San Francisco but subsequently moved to the Los Angeles area. He eventually relocated to Westboro, Massachusetts.
