Frederick Robbins (1893 - 1974)
Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Frederick Robbins was a portrait painter, etcher, lecturer, teacher and writer. He studied at the California School of Fine Arts (now the San Francisco Art Institute), and with a number of leading California artists. During the 1920s, Robbins worked in San Francisco but subsequently moved to the Los Angeles area. He eventually relocated to Westboro, Massachusetts.

Etching, ca. 1929; edition not stated. Image size 9¾" x 7¾"; sheet size 11" x 9¼". Titled and signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin. A fine impression in very good condition. There is a small smudge in the upper RH corner recto, and inked fingerprints on the verso.
