Abstract painter and printmaker Jon Naberezny was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Youngstown College and a Master of Fine Arts from Iowa State University. He was active in the regional Youngstown arts scene and served as Professor in the Art Department at Youngstown State University until 1992. For many years after his retirement, Naberezny trained docents at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown. His works have been widely exhibited at galleries throughout the United States. The Butler Institute holds a significant collection of his work.
